The uTest Quarterly Bug Battle is so popular that it was listed as the first recent example of successful Crowdsourcing in Wikipedia’s Crowdsourcing entry. Here’s a chance for testers to join in a fun competition to see what bugs they can find in some of the world’s most popular Web-based applications.

This time the competition is amongst three popular internet retailers: Amazon.com Target.com, and Walmart.com.  The competition starts in less than 24 hours:  Thursday, November 5 at 12:00 am (EST)  running through Wednesday, November 11 at 11:59 pm (EST) with prizes awarded for:

  • Top overall tester
  • Top novice tester
  • Top tester
  • Best bugs
  • Best feedback

I had a chance yesterday to talk to Matt Johnston, VP of Marketing and Community at uTest. I recorded our conversation and you can find it on this blog post. Matt is an interesting guy and uTest  and the whole crowdsourcing movement is a very interesting trend!
